Our Leadership

Beehive Program Director Lynda Barraza

Lynda is the Program Director at The Beehive, and has been working in Early Childhood Education (ECE) since 2012. She joined the Beehive team in January of 2021 before the school officially opened in March of that year. She graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2012 with her bachelor’s degree in English Literature and a minor in French. After completing her undergraduate education, she started working as an assistant teacher at a private preschool in Denver. She decided to go back to school for her director qualifications and further her education in the world of ECE. She has been working in educational leadership since 2015 and has loved being in a management role as a program director.

In the Fall of 2019, Lynda received her master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from UC-Denver. She worked full time as a director while earning her degree online. Through the master’s program, Lynda learned invaluable skills and knowledge in ECE and has been implementing it ever since.

Lynda is trained in the Pyramid Plus Approach and has extensive experience working with infants and toddlers.

On a more personal note, Lynda has been married to her college sweetheart since October of 2015. They bought our first house in Denver in January of 2019 and love getting out and about in the city! They have two cats and two dogs and love spending time going on adventures with their dogs. Lynda had her first child in April of 2021 who attends The Beehive.

Beehive Program Assistant Amy Mullen

Amy has been working in early childhood education for over 12 years, and is so happy to be on the management team at The Beehive. She has her master’s degree in ECE as well as a coaching credential specifically for implementing social/emotional learning practices in the classroom.
